Printing. Photo-realistic dry offset printing (FR’Print).
Things are happening in the world of cup finishes for the food industry: direct printing is becoming a more attractive feature. The answer is photo-realistic dry offset printing.

FR’Print.
SwissPrimePack Ltd. has the infrastructure and know-how to offer this technology right now as an alternative to labelling and conventional dry offset printing.

FR’Print as an alternative to labelling?
FR’Print not only entails the use of proven new cliché manufacturing techniques but also takes account of all the parameters that deliver top class printing. The result is high quality printing that can actually be used as an alternative to labelling or for enhancing ready-printed cups. But what are the parameters that need to be taken into account?

Software
The way in which the selected subject is structured is obviously of key importance. Grids, colour gradient and positioning of the subject’s central elements all play a major role. The best results are achieved through close cooperation right from the outset between all those involved on the part of the customer, designer and SwissPrimePack Ltd.. The task in the pre-print stage is to then carry out the colour separation and treatment, coordinated to suit the requirements of the subject, the existing printing systems and proposed cliché manufacturing technique. This determines whether the desired print quality can be achieved. Even when using state-of-the-art technology, years of experience in this area is a vital requirement for being able to undertake this preparatory work to optimum effect.

Hardware
Cup: the maximum potential print quality is influenced both by shape, thickness, surface as well as materials. SwissPrimePack Ltd. has the necessary experience to create the right combination of the individual parameters, taking into account the overall product specifications.

Cliché: over the last couple of years various new cliché production techniques have become established methods, providing for a significant improvement in print quality, even over longer production cycles. SwissPrimePack Ltd. works together with leading providers and is able to independently use the most appropriate technique for your product.

Production: SwissPrimePack Ltd. utilizes state-of-the-art polytype 8 colour printing systems, uses colour pigments adapted to suit requirements and possesses a
comprehensive infrastructure to constantly maintain the targeted print quality through precision colour preparation and continuous print controls.

The results of using FR’Print are obvious: this technique offers our customers an extremely attractive alternative to labelling, cardboard wrapping or in-mould-labelling. All finishing techniques have limits in terms of cup design as they require straight or conical-shaped container walls, whilst FR’Print has clear price advantages and achieves a comparable quality depending upon the subject In addition to this FR’Print does not require any second material and so, as a single material packaging, also has benefits from the environmental aspects.

What do I do next?
What does switching to FR’Print mean for your company and your existing products? We will be happy to supply you with a re-launch package individually tailored to your products. Ask for samples of existing FR’Prints. Nothing will convince you more.
